Because when you take the intake resonator off for the K&N intake, everything is exposed. Keeps things covered, and looks 100 times better.

Any fitment issues putting the SS cover on the 4.2 or did it go right on? Looks like you had to cut the side grille/vent for the A/C line. Do you like the K&N Intake, any HP or MPG gains?
